Village Studio
Village studio lies in the heritage context of the bluestone laneways and brick terrace houses of albert park village commercial precinct. Planning and cost constraints drive normative responses. Here the overriding philosophy was to preserve garden space, distribute playful vernacular ‘gable’ form both to the rear of the terrace and to the laneway studio, and introduce natural light deep into the plan. The resulting distribution of areas works for the use now, however could be intensified for a denser office workspace ratio, or convert to residential in the future.
This project represents a shared vision brought to life by our dedicated team. We respectfully acknowledge the Bunurong people, also known as the Boonwurrung people, traditional custodians of this land, whose enduring care and connection continue to inspire our work.
